We are delighted to announce that Sportisa Association will host the National Taekwondo Championship 2026 on Sunday, 20 December 2026 at Ballygunge Arena, Kolkata.
This championship is a milestone for our organisation. Since our beginning, we have worked to build awareness of martial arts and taekwondo among young people in Kolkata and beyond. Bringing a national-level competition to the city gives local players a stage to compete at home — and gives athletes from other states a chance to experience Kolkata's warm sporting spirit.
A championship for every ability
Inclusion is at the centre of everything we do. The championship will feature para taekwondo categories alongside Kyorugi (sparring) and Poomsae (forms) events. We are also offering participation support to selected students from underprivileged backgrounds, so that financial hardship does not keep talent off the mat.
How to take part
Registrations are now open online. Athletes, coaches and academies can find all the details — key information, tentative schedule and what to bring — on the championship page.
