Our story
Sportisa Association was founded in Kolkata by people who have seen first-hand what sport can do for a young person — the discipline of a martial-arts class, the calm of a yoga session, the teamwork of an outdoor game. We also saw how many children never get that chance because of cost, distance, disability or simply a lack of awareness.
Today we work to change that. We are a registered non-governmental organisation that promotes awareness of sport and opens doors for interested players, para athletes and underprivileged students.

Our mission
To spread awareness of the physical, mental and social benefits of sport, and to support every interested player — regardless of ability or background — to train, compete and grow.
Our vision
An India where every child has a safe place to play, a coach to learn from, and a fair chance to represent their state and country.
What we do
- Awareness drives in schools, colleges and neighbourhoods about the value of regular sport and fitness.
- Player support — guidance on training, coaching connections and access to competitions.
- Para sports inclusion — adaptive participation and dedicated categories at our events.
- Support for underprivileged students — help with equipment, training access and event participation.
- Championships and events — including the National Taekwondo Championship 2026 in Kolkata.
Sports we promote
Martial arts, taekwondo, yoga, badminton, baseball and traditional and modern outdoor games.
Our values
- Inclusion — sport is for everyone.
- Integrity — fair play on and off the field.
- Discipline — small daily efforts build champions.
- Community — we grow stronger together.
